hask placenta conditioning treatment

pre-pooed with ORS Hair MayonnaiseVo5 1-minute Hot Oil TreatmentShampooed with Design Essentials Moisture Retention ShampooDeep conditioned with Hask Placenta Conditioning TreatmentRoller setSaran WrapI found that I didn't really like the results from the Hask Placenta conditioning treatment. My hair was excessively tangled and when washing out I had to use another conditioner just to be able to comb through. I much prefer the results from Aphogee or Brocato treatments. I had bought the Hask Placenta because they had a really good protein treatment, but this conditioner just doesn't cut it for me. I guess I have officially started my Favs list - Hask Placenta Conditioning Treatment is NOT on it lol.The saran wrap worked out fairly well, but since my hair is 8-weeks post relaxer, the new growth is being a little... let's say "stubborn" even after I blow out my roots. I find that I can only wear my hair open once after the saran wrap before said "resilient" NG puffs right back out!

aphogee 2-step hard protein

last week I used the Aphogee 2-step hard protein treatment for the first time followed by the Balancing Moisturizer. It was quite different I must say. Wasn't sure what to expect, but they weren't kidding when they said hard lol. I'm not sure if I can testify that it does wonders for my hair just yet, but I have noticed less breakage this week. I will try it again in another 6 weeks and see how it goes. With all the products I have stocked up on I'm yet to find a conditioner that detangles my hair and leaves it silky smooth. Years ago(when my hair was well taken care of), I used Pantene's Conditioner and that worked wonders. I've been since discouraged from using Pantene by my stylist because according to her it doesn't cater to "hair of colour". I take her point, but I need a replacement and I'm still on that quest to find a good detangling conditioner. Since my hair is not in the greatest of shape I'm trying to be patient and wait to see if I notice an improvement in the detangling aspect of my current conditioners when my hair health improves - unhealthy hair is generally more difficult to detangle I find.

rediscovery

in recent months I have become delinquent in my hair routine...to the point where my hair health has declined considerably. Frustrated I trotted off to the salon and had quite a few inches chopped off in the hopes of a "new beginning". I was somewhat unmotivated until I stumbled upon this site and was inspired by the ladies esp Macherie - her hair just emotionally "teleported" me back to the days when my hair was just as healthy albiet not as long. So with renewed motivation and keen dedication I'm on my quest to rediscover the hair that I lost. I've restarted my weekly deep conditioning and daily vitamin cocktail. I'm truly looking forward to MBL hair in 2008!
